Spiritual World Meets the Material World

Spiritual India and Material India are both very different from each other. Historical India was built fundamentally on Hinduism and other religions. Ancient Indians conducted their day to day lives by the teachings and rulings of their religions. Holidays, government dealings, and all other things needed to provide for a successful country were provided by their religions. As time progressed however, religion was slowly being replaced by normal rule and became a Federal Republic. People started caring less and less about their religions and rulings of the religions. Today, many cultural aspects such as: architecture, art, literature, etc. have been influnced by religion, but the governmnet remians culture-free. It is very rare to find a cultural aspect not having religion influence. India may have changed for many reasons, but in my opinion, there is only one main cause for them to give up their religions in their everyday lives, and that cause is the want to become more modernized and "fit in" with the rest of the world as they expanded their country's trade. There may be other causes to the same effect, but in my opinion, this cause is the greatest cause.

Spritiual India is now a tourist attraction while modern day grocery stores have opened in India attracting many people and causing them to forget their heritage and culture mildly.

Dialogue
Here is a dialogue showing how modern and traditional clash
scenario: It is dinner time and the child does not want to eat his dinner. It is a very common scenario that happens in many homes today.
Boy: Ew, is THIS what we're eating?
Dad: What are you expecting? We are a traditional Indian family therefore we eat traditional Indian food.
Boy: but we always eat this. Why cant mom learn how to cook normal food?!
Mom: You should learn to be more greatful that i have kept the traditional Indian culture so alive in this household.
Boy: I dont care about Indian Culture i just want some normal food, is that so much to ask?
Mom: This is the food i have cooked for you so this is the food you will eat!
Boy: No one eats traditional food anymore though! And al my friends eat normal modern food! Have you never heard of pizza?!
Dad: I dont care what your friends eat! Now eat your dinner or you can go to your room with an empty stomach
Boy: Fine...
This scenario is very common in our households. Im sure one time or another this has happened to us. Some of us have parents that were born in different countries or are very traditional and we find that our views often clash with eachother.
safa says: wow thats creepy the same thing happens in my household every single day! omg...........
